Summary[]

A narration about the five islands around the great sea of Ignora is explained in the center of the four surrounding islands was the Ente Isla, an island the gods observe. The ruler of Ente Isla was Satan, ruler of all Demons. With his four generals, Adramelech, Lucifer, Malacoda, and Alciel and used his authority over the Demon Army to terrorize the Humans living on the four surrounding islands. However, the Human army had a Hero who managed to eliminate Satan's forces in the west and the remaining forces in the other lands until all that was left was Satan in Ente Isla. The battle between Satan and the Hero, accompanied by their allies, would cause Satan to flee into another world along with Alciel. Before he left, Satan vowed to return one day and finish what he had started.

In the new world, Satan and Alciel were astonished by their new humanesque appearances and lack of magical capability. As they collected their thoughts about their new surroundings and situation, a couple of police officers tried and helped them after they noticed their injuries and strange clothing. Unable to communicate appropriately with the police officers made Satan and Alciel appear as foreigners dressed in cosplay. Believing he could cast his magic, Alciel tried to attack the two officers, but nothing came, and they were taken to the police station.

There, Satan was served a katsu don, and as the officer tried to act amicably toward him, Satan used his magic to abstract information from his mind and learn about the world he was in. Satan then went into the other room where Alciel was in. After a comical pause where Alciel was eating the katsu don, Satan incapacitated the officer and informed Alcielame of his meal. After trial and tribulation, the two then leave and manage to get identities, a bank account, and a roof over their heads. When shown their new apartment, they're introduced to the landlord named Miki Shiba, whose appearance unnerves Satan and Alciel.

Eventually, Satan and Alciel, now going by the names of Mao and Shiro, have acclimated to their new lifestyle in the Alternate Human world. While riding his bike to work, Mao encounters a young lady who forgot her umbrella, so he offers his own and rides off. This act strikes a chord with the young lady.

At work, Mao vows to break the sales record of most sold Black Pepper Fries and would then diligently perform his job as a MgRonald's employee. Mao's dedication to his job would impress his co-worker Chiho, and Mao would act humbly toward her compliments.

Meanwhile, Shiro was in a library fulfilling his duty of studying any information about magic from that world to figure out a way back to their original world. Mao also stated he'd take care of their finances, and once they regained their magic abilities, they'll conquer Ente Isla and the world they're in now. Moved by Mao's declaration, Shiro vows to follow Mao's order to the fullest. However, the job Mao has now is a bottom-barrel one with paltry pay to it. While Shiro laments over this, an earthquake occurs.

On Mao's side, the earthquake can be felt on his side as he takes his break in the break room with Chiho who laments over dropping fries on the ground streak. Although Mao tries to console Chiho, the Manager Kisaki asks them to put 100% effort as there's an influx of customers.

Hoping to make his restaurant the #1 on the block, Mao's plans get wrinkled when the black pepper frier breaks, and he is forced to decide to use his magic to repair it. Shiro's advice to only use his magic in emergencies runs through Mao's head and before he can make a decision, Kisaki interrupts him asking what's wrong.

Later, Mao despondently laments that the restaurant didn't get #1 because of him, despite Chiho trying to cheer him up, claiming the repairman should have the frier fixed by that evening. When asked to visit the Manager's office, Mao believed he would be scolded about the frier or if she realized he could use magic. However, she wanted to inform him that he's been promoted to A-level staff.

Elatedly riding home, Mao relishes the news he got, but soon runs into the lady he met earlier in the day who claims she knows of his true identity as Satan. Mao then realizes that the young lady is really Emilia, the Hero.
