Malacoda's death is later confirmed by Ciriatto, one of the Malebranche Chieftains who once served as his right hand man. The former leads an attack on Japan with 1,200 of his most powerful soldiers, only to be repelled by Emilia Justina before being sent away by King Satan. During his encounter with the Hero Emilia, Ciriatto claims to be acting on the will of the deceased Malacoda.
