Suzuno Kamazuki (鎌月 鈴乃 Kamazuki Suzuno?) / Crestia Bell (クレスティア・ベル Kuresutia Beru?) is Sadao Maō's next door neighbor. She is always wearing a kimono as she only owns traditional clothes. Suzuno is a member of the Church that came to Japan to kill Sadao like Emi Yusa . Unlike Emi, she apparently has trouble adjusting to the modern life of Japan and is easily found having trouble especially with technology. This is because, prior to arriving in Japan, she had studied about Japan by watching "historical dramas" because they features the most traditional Japanese clothes.
Also known as Crestia Bell, Suzuno is a part of the Doctrinal Correction Council, formally known as the Inquisition that was originally lead by Olba Meiya, which is part of the reason Emi doesn't fully trust her yet.
Her first appearance was on the staricase leading to Maō's appartment. His sudden appearance surprised her and she fell, landing in Maō's arms before fainting. Later, she appears at the door of Maō's room bearing a box of udon as a gift and introduced herself as Suzuno Kamazuki. She taught Lucifer how to make cold noodles and hang clothes. It is noted by Emi that she is after Maō (though Emi misunderstood Suzuno's intentions for Maō as romantic feelings). She also made a bento for Maō, which has two layers, the top containing New Year's dishes with the bottom contaning rice decorated with a heart.
Thanks to the heart-bento, it lead to a misunderstanding with Chiho Sasaki as well, and when Emi and Chiho visits Maō the next day, she is seen there cooking for them. It is known that Suzuno has been cooking for Maō, Urushihara and Ashiya because of the latter's heat fatigue. Following suggestions from Urushihara and Chiho, she is later brought out by Emi. Having forgotten her purse, she happens to be there when Chiho confessed to Maō, and teases her a little. She is then surprised when Maō shows concern for Chiho's safety, as well as his suggestion to walk her to the train station. At the train station, the depth of her very vague knowledge of modern-day Japan is revealed, and it also leads to Emi finding out about Suzuno being from Ente Isla. Because of Emi's misunderstanding, she'd thought that Emi had found out about her true identity, and so was as surprised as Emi. She then tells Emi of her true intentions for coming to Japan.
Later at a coffee shop, she and Emi chats about various topics. Suzuno ultimately asks Emi to work with her to take down Maō after finding out that Emi was not working with Maō as opposed to the rumors she'd heard, though her request was shot down. While Emi leaves for work, Suzuno goes off shopping on her own. Meeting Emi after she'd gotten off work, it is revealed that she had bought only traditional clothes after selling some of her easily converted assets at a shop called Mugihyo and had bought a pass by her own. Due to the way she phrased her words, it led to yet another misunderstanding from Emi's friend and colleague Rika, and the trio heads to go find Maō at his workplace.
On Earth she is a nice, caring neighbor, but it is noted in episode 11 that she used to execute people under the order of the then Inquistion even though she was never fully commited to it in Ente Isla.
She has fair porcelain skin color. She also has long midnight blue (blackish-blue) hair with aqua eyes. She has a small body, wearing a midnight blue kimono with a yellow obi and a lime green obijime. She ties her hair into a side-ponytail with a red flower clip that is actually her weapon.
Powers and AbilitesEdit
- Sleep Magic (unnamed): Similar to Emilia, Suzuno was able to make Chiho fall asleep by touching her forehead.
- Memory Manipulation (unnamed): Not shown, but Suzuno said she could erase Chiho's memories of Ente Isla, implying that she can also manipulate memories.
During her days as the executioner of the inquisiton, Suzuno was shown to execute people by using a giant hammer as her weapon of choice which is hidden as the red flower clip she uses to tie up her hair.
The "鈴" in 鈴乃 (Suzuno) means "bell", hearkening back to her real name, "Crestia Bell".
